Tour Laura or Oak Alley Plantation for tours packed with beauty and adventure. Each of these tours comes with or without a tour of the legendary Manchac Swamp or in combination.
Oak Alley Plantation
Effective April 3, 2021: This tour is available in combination with our Swamp Tour; however, the "Plantation Only" Oak Alley Tour is temporarily suspended.
Built in 1837-39. It is famous for its’ alley of 28 evenly spaced Live Oak trees, believed to be at least 100 years older than the big house.
During the approximate 40 minute tour, enjoy a professionally guided tour of the "Big House" conducted by guides in period costumes. Photography is not allowed inside the mansion.
Laura: A Creole Plantation

Built in 1805. Let Laura Locoul's "Memories of the Old Plantation Home" transport you into the lives of 4 generations of this sugar plantation's Creole men, women, slaves and children.
Laura is an active sugarcane plantation with a tour that lasts up to 1.10 hours The tour is a complete visit of the entire grounds and slave home with an in depth history lesson.

Laura or Oak Alley Plantation

Pickup available from most New Orleans, Metairie and Kenner hotels.
Pickup BEGINS at 12:30PM and may continue for up to 30 minutes. Please note that this is a shuttle which will also stop at our swamp tour location.
After leaving the city at approximatly 1:00PM, our buses arrive at the swamp at approximately 1:30PM for a transfer to the plantation.
Buses depart the swamp no later than 2:00PM as both plantation tours are on a scheduled tour time. Many guests enjoy this 30 minutes of free time browsing our gift shop, using the restroom and enjoying the grounds at Cajun Pride (unless traffic conflicts occur which will reduce the amount of free time).
The driving time from New Orleans to Laura or Oak Alley is approximately 1 full hour or more depending on traffic plus approximately 30 minutes built in for our stop at the swamp.
Cajun Pride transportation will drop off guests at either location between 2:45-3:00PM. Drop off is first at Laura Plantation followed by drop off at Oak Alley Plantation. Both plantations require our bus driver to assist in the check-in process for ticket distribution.
Oak Alley tour time is approximately 3:00PM. Laura tour time is approximately 3:10PM. The times are each what is offered through the plantations and we are unable to deviate from what is assigned.
Cajun Pride transportation will pick up guests from both locations between 4:30-4:45PM for transfer back to the city.
Personal car or rental car is suggested for those who are on a strict schedule or do not wish to wait on the shuttle service. Please review our Q&A page for additional information.
